Giovanni Gioia has been a Planning and Development Specialist at GoldmanHarris since 2015. His extensive architectural and planning experience is at the core of the firm’s multi-disciplinary and collaborative approach to problem solving and innovation. 

Prior to joining GoldmanHarris, Giovanni practiced architecture for over ten years at highly regarded NYC design firms such as Dattner Architects and Ismael Leyva Architects, where he developed a proven track record in master planning and design services, project phasing, codes and compliance, construction documents, construction administration, and project management. His projects included high-rise mixed-use developments, housing, educational facilities and transportation.

Giovanni is an expert in the NYC Zoning Resolution and planning. He is well-versed in the NYC Building Codes, sustainability, and flood resilience. He excels at project management, ensuring that GoldmanHarris’ clients’ needs, project goals and project schedules are met. 

Giovanni is an Associate AIA member and a legacy LEED AP. He has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute and has completed his Safety Assessment Program training (SAP by California’s Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES)) and HURRIPLAN training by the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center and is currently pursuing ARE licensure with the State of New York.
